Yes. The casing is fully water-soluble and dissolves in cold and hot cycles alike. Drop it into the empty drum before the clothes go in and it will dissolve completely every time.
Straight into the empty drum, before you add clothes. Not in the detergent drawer — the drawer does not get enough water flow for a pod to dissolve properly.
One pod for a standard 7 to 8kg load. Two only for an extra-large or heavily soiled wash. There is no benefit to adding more than that.
Pods are made for machine washing, where the water movement dissolves and distributes the formula properly. For bucket washing, a powder or liquid suits better.
